Every child. One voice.Every child. One voice.Every child. One voice.

Welcome, Student Artists from PYLUC!

This is the information needed to create original Reflections entries for 2024-2025, based on the theme: “Accepting Imperfection.”

Have a great artistic summer creating your Reflections entries (you can enter more than one category). We look forward to another wonderful “season” of Reflections.

REFLECTION GUIDELINES: FOLLOW CAREFULLY

Use the art category link for guidelines and follow the directions. The council has also provided a list of PTA requests that emphasize important points, and if followed, will assist your school Reflections Chair.

Student entry forms, art collection date and the collection process. Every school is different. They will distribute student packets with collection dates as wells as the process for collection.

  • Record in the allowed file formats and check that the file opens and has audio – Adults can assist
  • Use the Details Section to cite music and explanation of traditional dance pieces.

Dance Hint: Consider the physical space used for recording the entry, should be safe and even for footing, with enough room to freely move.

  • Imagine your video camera as your audience, and angle your choreography to the audience
  • Do not use video edits as a part of your choreography or consider entering the Film Production Category.
  • Judging is not based on how well the student dances, the emphasis is on choreography

PTA Request:

  • Use a manila envelope to contain your entry (2 copies of entry forms)
